SMP Technical how it works.

Scalp Micro Pigmentation is a highly advanced, modern hair loss treatment for men and women that replicates real-shaven hair stubble on the scalp. The illusion is so realistic that you believe you have hair, and so does everyone else.

A hair tattoo, Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP) is a medical, non-surgical, cosmetic procedure that gives the illusion of a close shaved hairstyle on a bald head. The procedure can also be used to conceal scars from hair transplantations. SMP can be performed on all skin types and colours. This procedure involves local cream anaesthesia to avoid any pain during the procedure.

In contrast to other tattoos, the procedure does not penetrate the epidermal level of the skin as deeply, and the inks (or pigments) used are semi-permanent. The process can be completed in 3 to 4 sessions lasting 1 to 3 hours per session and is pain-free. There are certain aftercare procedures, but these are very simple to follow. There is a percentage of fading after the initial procedure. Once it settles it can last another 12 to 24 months without any more work done. We do recommend a Touch-Up session every 12-24 months depending on the client’s lifestyle.
